Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi
Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi has assumed
the charge of the Secretary, Ministry of Environment, on 1st December,
2007.
He graduated from the Forman Christian College, Lahore and got
his Master's degree in Political Science in 1970 from the Punjab
University. He taught at Forman Christian College for two years
before joining government service.
He joined former CSP in 1972 and has held various key administrative
and managerial positions in the Provincial/Federal Governments
and abroad. He brings an extensive administrative experience of
managing various Provincial Departments and Federal Agencies.
After his initial postings, as Assistant Commissioner, Deputy
Commissioner in the field, he served as Provincial Secretary for
Food & Agriculture, Home, Finance, Additional Chief Secretary
(Development) in NWFP, Head of the Export Promotion Bureau at
Karachi to name a few. Apart from other assignments he was also
posted as Consul General/Trade Commissioner for Canada and Pakistan's
Representative on the International Civil Organization at Montreal,
Canada.
In recent years, he held positions of Chief Secretary in NWFP
and Sindh.
